May has been a busy month on Indiegogo with a lot of great projects coming out and quickly reaching their funding goals. These creators have captured the interest of Indiegogo backers and have all succeeded with time left to spare.
This month’s list includes trending projects from the transportation, fashion & wearables, tech & innovation, film, music, and travel & outdoors categories. Project #6 is my favorite!
1. SPECTRA: the Most Portable & Intelligent eBoard

SPECTRA is a portable and intelligent eBoard with four different versions for backers to choose from. The SPECTRA is designed with several unique features, including 3D posture control, app-controlled remote control functioning, LED indicators and more. SPECTRA is also designed to be tough and lightweight, equipped with safe smart breaks that can detect unstable conditions or the absence of a rider.
Spectra is currently available on Indiegogo starting at 299 for the SPECTRA Mini to $1199 for the SPECTRA Silver.
2. Haikara – The Smartwatch for Fashion Lovers

Other features include phone tracking and gestures to control the notifications that you do choose to receive.

3. GunBaiL: A Movement To Stop The Tears

GunBaiL is a unique new app designed to help get ‘crime’ guns off the streets and reduce gun violence among minorities in American cities. “GunBaiL is led by entrepreneur Trevor Brooks, whose experiences with gun violence growing up in Baltimore led him to create a new solution to lessen the impact of illegal guns on urban communities,” says their Kickstarter page.
As an incentive, inmates locked up for non-violent crimes can have someone surrender a gun on their behalf instead of having to pay to post bail. GunBaiL arranges for the firearm to be sent to local police safely in this proactive new program.
Backers can pledge to this project in exchange for a variety of rewards like GunBaiL merchandise like hats and t-shirts, a slice of a gun barrel from a confiscated illegal gun, and more.
4. The Ultimate Adventure Travel Pack: Allpa 35L

The Allpa 35L is a large backpack system for adventurers. This backpack is made to take a beating without any wear and tear. Allpa is packed with great features, like its weight-distribution and harness system that make carrying your adventure backpack comfortable and safe in high-traffic places. The outer material is durable and designed without outer pockets and buckles that tend to break or get in the way during travel.

5. IMPACT Film – Every Body Has Superpowers

IMPACT is a film that wants to inspire viewers by helping them discover their superpowers and gain the confidence to start making real changes in their lives. This film documents the progress of three ordinary people who receive a communication skills makeover. This makeover transforms their ability to send the right signals, better read those around them, and perceive the world in a different light.
Indiegogo backers can pledge $20 to be the first to watch the film online and have their name included in the credits.
6. JamStack – The World’s First Attachable Guitar Amp

Funded: $102K+
Status: 10251% funded
Prendergast had a very modest $1,000 funding goal for this project but has blown past that and raised over $100,000 with a month left to go. This compact amp easily attaches right to your guitar for great sound on the go and it only weighs 1.9 pounds. The amp also comes with a smartphone app that lets you use effects, loops, and more. JamStack also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker.
Backers can get their own JamStack on Indiegogo for $148.
