Kickstarter was founded in 2009 and has funded over 100,000 projects and helped raise over $2 million in funds. There are more than 3 million repeat backers on the website. Pretty crazy!
Even though it seems like Kickstarter is mainstream, I still get many questions about the website when I attend networking events in New York City.
Rather than keep addressing this question, I decided to make a YouTube video to demystify the website for first-time crowdfunding newbies and newcomers.
