Indiegogo teamed up with MicroVentures in November 2016 to bring equity crowdfunding to its users.
On January 24 2017, Indiegogo announced that since they launched equity crowdfundingon their portal called First Democracy VC, their first five offering companies have raised a combined total of approximately $1.4 million from Indiegogo’s community of backers.
