Best Crowdfunding Marketing and Promotion Companies

Are you looking for a company to market or promote your crowdfunding campaign? Look no further!

In this video, I’m going to share with you some of the top marketing and promotion companies for Kickstarter and Indiegogo campaigns.

We’ll talk about who they are, how you can use them, and some tips when using agencies.

I think that some of these are the best kept secrets when you’re just launching a new crowdfunding campaign. Because, of course, you’re gonna be inundated with tons of offers from many different companies out there. It’s really hard to sift through all of these to find the best ones.

By the end of the video, you’ll know exactly which marketing and promotion companies can help you with your project.

What did you think of the video?

Would love to hear from you in the comments down below. If you DID like it, can you give it a thumbs up on YouTube?

I put out new YouTube videos regularly on the topic of marketing, crowdfunding, and driving traffic to a new fundraiser. When you subscribe here and turn on notifications, you’ll get an email whenever I come out with a new video.

This is the easiest way to stay up to date with new strategies that I’m discovering every single day. That’s what I love to do.

However, there are lots of things I don’t like to do – and quite frankly – a lot of things that I suck at! That’s where outsourcing comes in…

You must be self-aware before hiring a company

Before going out there and hiring a marketing or promotion company to help with your fundraiser, you have to know which part of the strategy you need help with.

Companies help on many different levels including:

  • Writing and distributing press releases (learn more here)
  • Managing and running Facebook ads
  • Doing Google ads to drive traffic
  • Promoting to their own super backer community
  • Editing your video or campaign text
  • Etc.

Let’s just say that your problem is that your existing campaign isn’t converting traffic into buyers. Well, going out there and hiring someone to drive traffic to your project isn’t gonna help you get more buyers… because your campaign isn’t converting.

You need to have someone look at your existing video, reward tiers, and campaign text to figure just why visitors aren’t converting into backers.

On the flip side, if you’re seeing people back your project, but for whatever reason, it’s hard to drive traffic, then you have a completely different problem. You gotta find a company that can help you drive traffic.

Make sense?

Along with being self-aware, you also gotta research how the crowdfunding industry prices services.

The myth of the “percentage model”

I find that entrepreneurs that are new to crowdfunding want to hire service providers on a percentage basis. They’ll try to hash out a deal saying “if we’re funded, we’ll give you x% of our funding amount.”

When you’re working with a Facebook advertising company, they’ll be more likely to take you up on that offer, but here’s the catch. They’ll only work with you if you already have a successful campaign that has surpassed it’s fundraising goal. You’ve indicated demand in the marketplace. Many will also charge you an up-front fee.

At the same time, other companies that are offering consulting services, PR services, or other types of promotional services are highly unlikely to take you up on this offer. It’s not aligned in their best interest.

If someone did take you up on this offer, it’s probably because they’re working with 10 other project creators and won’t really give you very much attentive service. They can’t afford to. It’s not profitable for them.

To work with the agencies that I’ve mentioned in the video, you should expect to budget between $8,000 – $15,0000 to hire their services. At the very least, consider budgeting $2,000 – $5,000 for their lower-tier offerings.

Choosing the right agency

Along with in the video, I’ve also outlined my thoughts of the top crowdfunding agencies in this article here. You can go through the list and check out each one.

The closer you get the your launch, the more you’ll realize that this is a pretty big decision. Not only are you gonna be dishing out a lot of dough, but this agency is going to determine how successful your campaign is on Kickstarter or Indiegogo.

Do your homework. Ask different previous customers about the agency. Hire consultants (like me) and coaches to help you navigate the industry. It will be well-worth it. Just think about the costs of choosing the WRONG agency.

You’ll be out of a lot of money and have wasted a ton of time. It pays to invest a bit up front making sure that you’re making the best decision possible. You do that when you make expensive purchases, like buying a car or deciding which university to attend.

I hope that you enjoyed todays video and don’t forget to subscribe if you want access to more free videos like this. I put them out pretty regularly. You can subscribe down below to my weekly newsletter.
