Yeah, it's hard to put yourself out there and let your work or persona be judged, but it's a must if you want to want to make your dreams a reality!

I love to hear about fine artists using the KS platform as a way to build connection to new eyes, and new backers. Congratulations to Nathaniel Badder! I have done 3 campaigns (one is running right now, Icelandic Arc) in support of my creative process, and time for creative focus at artist residencies. I have been overwhelmed, really buoyed by the support I have found out there. I highly recommend visual artists investigate these options.

1/3 to 1/2 of my backers are unknown to me, and many have come back for all 3 campaigns.

If you care to see, link: http://kck.st/1c8kbWq

I'd love to connect with any artists who might have questions about KS. I'd love to hepl.

That's awesome. Congrats on the big move. The photo projects I build are odd shapes--- usually pretty long, so shipping them domestically is expensive… and I imagine that shipping them to Australia would be really pricy. But, definitely let me know when you get your gallery up and running (nbadder@36Letters.com).

I would be happy to do that :) Oh wow you were from Melbourne too :) I'm from there, moved to Adelaide in 2000 lol but looking to relocate back to Melb next year to open my own gallery there. About shipping, do you mean to ship prints, books etc of your work? It isn't all that bad or expensive to ship to Australia ;)

Thanks, kage. As I have said repeatedly, it's exciting but altogether terrifying. I've never worked harder, but it's been more fulfilling than ever. Good luck to you as well.

Thanks, David. I am definitely not the only person to do stuff like this, but tried to put my own twist on it by using only found letters (i.e., objects that look like letters and not letters themselves), including numbers and punctuation marks as well as color splashes. But, the really difference, I believe is the framing--- most do it inside one large frame, but I frame each letter individually and then attach them to a single mount which produces a pretty cool look.
