3 Easy Ways to Create a Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Wondering how to create a Kickstarter pre-launch page?

I’m going to reveal three tools that you can use to quickly and easily set up a Kickstarter pre-launch page, so that you can begin to gather email addresses for your upcoming launch.

The goal of a pre-launch page is to generate leads before you go live on Kickstarter. These leads take the form of email subscribers that are interested in supporting your project or buying your product.

When you finally do launch your campaign, you’ll be able to quickly see a surge in pledges as a result of your pre-launch marketing.

I go way more in-depth with this technique in my course here “Smash Your Kickstarter goal.”

Now… let’s explore some of these tools!

1. Leadpages

Leadpages is the tool that I personally use to capture leads. There are a lot of different templates that you can choose from to customize your pre-launch page.

For example, I included one template below which you could customize in a matter of minutes. This landing page would offer some value for subscribing to the pre-launch email list, like access to early bird reward tiers.

The great thing about Leadpages is that there are a ton of ways to add more functionality to your website. You can do things like:

  • Set up countdown timers
  • Do A|B testing
  • Have sms opt-in codes
  • Embed videos
  • and more!

I created a training video showing you how easy it is to get started with Leadpages, which I’ll embed below.

Once you watch this video, you’ll get a clear understanding of the drag-and-drop functionality that Leadpages offers. You’ll also see what it looks like from the dashboard perspective.

2. Krowdster

Krowster is a software application that you can use to create pre-launch pages for your crowdfunding campaign. You can also access the backer directory and use the tool to build up your social media following.

When you create a pre-launch page with Krowdster, you can choose from several different templates. This ensures you’ll get it up and running quickly!

Along with giving you some cool templates to choose from, this software application will also give you information about your pre-launch page, including:

  • Number of visitors
  • Emails collected
  • Conversion rate
  • and more!

While it doesn’t have as much functionality as Leadpages, the pre-launch page is free to set up at the time of writing. You’ll have to invest a bit if you’d like access to the backer directory or the other premium tools.

3. WordPress Pre-Launch Theme

The third option is to set up a WordPress website and install a pre-launch landing page theme!

To get started, you first must sign up for a hosting provider that supports WordPress.

I recommend signing up with Bluehost. You can start a website for only $3.95 per month.

Once you sign up, you’ll then claim your FREE domain name and install WordPress on the website. Piece of cake!

However, just having a quality hosting provider and WordPress installed is not enough. You now need to install a WordPress theme that you like to serve as the pre-launch page.

To get a pre-launch WordPress theme you just have to browse Themeforest and pick one that you like. For example, check out the theme below!

Cool, huh?

This theme, “Landkit” is completely customizable and looks great on all devices.

I like Themeforest because of the huge array of themes, plugins, and designs that they offer for ridiculously affordable prices.

I’ll link to another example down below, which you could use as a landing page theme.

Once you install one of these themes, it’s going to look like you have spent thousands on your website, when really, you only spent a couple bucks.

A well-designed landing page will dramatically boost your overall conversion rates and make more website visitors sign up as email subscribers.

That’s Great Sal! What’s Next!?

If you’ve been following my blog, YouTube channel, or podcast, you’ll know that I put a massive emphasis on your launch plan.

This is why I’ve put together a free course showing you how to smash your Kickstarter goal.

As you go through this program, ask yourself what your goal is with this campaign. How much money do you want to raise?

How do you want to transform your life?

Kickstarter is only the beginning of a thriving business in ecommerce.
