You might think that securing product reviews is key to building credibility and running a successful campaign.
Think again!
In today’s show, we had the chance to speak to creator Joshua Blackburn who didn’t go with conventional wisdom and chose to trust his gut instead. And guess what?
They launched an epic quiz game for word-lovers, got an army of linguists, lexicographers, and wordsmiths contributing to it, launched it, and managed to raise £379,062 from more than 5k backers on Kickstarter!
A few years ago, Joshua and his two sons created their first card game and only raised around $4k with their first campaign.
The campaign had only mild success but Joshua learned tons from it, went back, made a whole new product called League of the Lexicon, and smashed their funding goal in the first 5 hours!
In this episode of the Crowdfunding Demystified podcast, Salvador Briggman speaks to Joshua about all those small steps and business decisions he took in order to achieve this massive success!
For example, he will share some of the unconventional ways they used to build credibility and the pre-launch marketing tactics that helped them get their Kickstarter sign-up numbers up high.
You’ll also learn how they are approaching some of the most challenging aspects of running a successful campaign such as shipping to people all over the world.
This episode is so inspiring but also jam-packed with tactical advice that goes beyond conventional wisdom.
So, take a pen and paper, and enjoy the listen!
