Formula for an Effective Marketing & Branding Story

Do you want to tell a story that will INCREASE demand for your products and services?

I’ll show you how to do that today.

Story is powerful man. It can get people invested in you and your business. It can make onlookers feel exactly as you felt when creating your unique product, service, or solution.

Rather than looking at story as something that’s reserved to the world of fiction authors and Hollywood movies, I want to introduce story as a vehicle for making people care about your crowdfunding campaign.

By following this 3-step framework, you’ll craft a powerful product story. You can use this technique for a Kickstarter or crowdfunding campaign. You can also use it for other launches.

Storytelling is used all of the time and it’s the backbone of a billion dollar media industry. However, all too often, people associate storytelling with the world of fantasy.

I want to share with you why storytelling is important to the world of REALITY and how you can use it to influence customers to buy your products.

Storytelling creates empathy with characters

A “character” doesn’t have to have a rigid definition. All that it refers to is the people in your story. That might be you, your customer, or people who are appearing in your pitch video.

The second you start telling a story, viewers begin to empathize with the various characters. They might like some and not others. We all have experienced rooting for the main character in his quest against the villain.

In order to buy from you, someone must know, like, and trust you. The way that you accomplish this transformation in the shortest amount of time is through storytelling.

As you win a viewer over, they begin to lower their mental defensive barriers and at least consider the solution that you’ve created which will solve a critical problem in their life.

Storytelling causes onlookers to feel emotions

As I’ve covered in other videos and blog posts, the main reason that people buy products is because they feel an emotion first. They crave the benefits that the product will bestow.

Your question should be… how do you get someone to feel an emotion? How do you provoke an emotional response?

Welp, storytelling does just that. If you don’t believe me, just think back to the last time you were in a movie theater or watching a film from the comfort of your home.

If it was a horror film, you probably felt fear. If it was an action-packed thriller, you may have noticed your heart rate increasing. Sometimes, when there is a surprising event, we’ll literally jump or move our body in response.

With certain film techniques, we’ll have an emotional reaction simply because the scene is surprising, gory, or scary-looking. However, for most scenes, there needs to be the context of back-story for us to really care about what’s going on.

Storytelling makes onlookers feel emotions and put themselves in the shoes of the person experiencing the events.

There is a formula to brand storytelling

The great thing about storytelling is that there is a formula that you can use to cause an emotional reaction every single time.

In fact, throughout history, storytellers have used this same formula to intrigue audiences. Just think about some of the types of stories you’ve heard like:

  • Tragedies
  • Quests
  • Love stories, etc.

I reveal this formula in today’s video and walk you through step-by-step how to craft effective marketing and branding stories for your business. You’ll be able to copy this and implement it in your own work.

Not only will this save you time, but it will also make the process much less costly. You can follow the blueprint I outline and before you know it, you’ll start evoking emotions and getting people invested in the characters in your story (which might be YOU).
