This week’s list of rapidly funded Kickstarter projects involves a wide variety of projects that have all launched recently and reached their crowdfunding goals in the early stages of their campaigns. That means there is still plenty of time to back these projects if you like them and follow their campaigns to see whether they can maintain the momentum they’ve built up so far. Check out the list below.

[redacted] is a table top game where you play a spy in the cold war, trying to attain and protect intel from an ambassador in an embassy. “Inspired in its mechanisms by such great games as Battlestar Galactica, Bang, Saboteur and A Study in Emerald, and in its theme by TV shows and movies like Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Mission: Impossible, the Bond films, Archer and more, [redacted] is for those who like mystery – and action – in their games.”
In just two days this project has raised $16,000 more than their goal, with 15 days left to go! One of the pledge levels, $120, gets you the game with worldwide shipping and a custom made loyalty card, where your picture is used to design a character and you can play as yourself.
#2. Designers & Dragons
Creators: Fred Hicks / Evil Hat Productions
Amount Funded: $54,215
Number of Backers: 1,380

Designers and Dragons is a four volume history of the Role Playing Game (RPG) industry, starting from the 1970’s and ending in the 2000’s. Along with Shannon Appelcline, a gaming scholar, this project aims to give fans an intimate and behind the scenes look at the inner workings of the RPG industry.
This book also includes original cover art, and a lot of cool pledge levels for different backers (and retailers also) – one of which includes an essay on an RPG topic of your choice researched and written by Shannon Appelcline, and another with signed copies of all volumes.
The project also started ~2 days ago and has raised 626% of its goal so far! With positive reviews from people in the industry featured on their Kickstarter page and the level of support seen so far, this looks like it may become a classic historical account for RPG fans.
#3. FitFIT – Fitness Re-Imagined
Creators: FitFIT

Number of Backers: 28
Average Pledge per Backer: $742

FitFIT is an app that works with smart phones, tablets, and laptops. This project has launched on Kickstarter in the hopes of revolutionizing fitness by allowing us to avoid the gym and helping us maintain a dynamic workout routine around our hectic lifestyles.
The app allows you to take a wide variety of different fitness classes, anywhere and anytime. You can also work out with friends and get live shout outs from fitness instructors, along with some other cool features. Just one day after launching this project has met their $20,000 goal. This campaign includes many pledge levels for different backers (including corporate options) to choose from.

Creators: Justin Pierce
Amount Funded: $22,603
Number of Backers: 475
Average Pledge per Backer: $48
Duration: Aug 1st to Sep 4th (33 days)
This Kickstarter campaign is a combination of four years of online comics published into a book with bonus content and a storyline that has never been seen online. Featuring a female protagonist, The Non-Adventures of Wonderella: A Hero For All Seasons contains stories that feature heroic values in a high quality, reasonably priced comic book.
Justin Pierce has brought fans some fun rewards, including custom artwork where you can choose to be either a mermaid or centaur and sticker sheets! There are also two previous (but smaller) volumes of this comic series available in PDF format for some backer levels.
#5. swivelCard: Smart Business Cards
Creators: Andrew DePaula
Amount Funded: $26,343
Number of Backers: 222
Average Pledge per Backer: $118
Duration: Aug 6th to Sep 10th (35 days)
swivelCard is a cool new business card that doubles as a USB using patented technology. The card folds to reveal a functional USB and can also transfer data by simply being close to a compatible smart phone.
The cards are custom designed and can be used to link to any website of your choice or a Dropbox account, for example. The program or website connected to the card can also be changed after the card has been given out: “Paper comes alive with embedded USB technology.
Imagine giving your business card with pictures, videos, presentations, and websites for the recipient to interact with!” The card also comes with an interface that allows you to see analytics about how the cards are being used.
Conclusion
The individuals and teams behind these projects have clearly worked hard to build support before launching and as a result, appeal to many groups who have come across their project via social media or on Kickstarter.
Every one of these projects has something cool or interesting about it in my opinion; I really like the concept of the swivelCard and think it would be cool to see more about how they work.
