Indiegogo introduced InDemand in January of 2015 to help creators continue to sell their products after their crowdfunding campaigns were finished. This feature has become very popular, along with Indiegogo’s Shipping Now feature.
We decided to put together a list of a few different campaigns that have gone on to use Indiegogo InDemand and Shipping now after successful crowdfunding:
Ironicallly, if you look through the projects I’m about to mention, you can see that many of them ran crowdfunding campaigns on other platforms (mostly Kickstarter) before moving to InDemand for their pre-orders!
1. Prepd Pack – The Lunchbox Reimagined

In February 2016, Prepd on Kickstarter for their new lunchbox. Prepd Pack is a new take on the lunchbox that adults everywhere will love to take to work or on the go. It is designed to be compact, stylish, spill proof… and that’s just the beginning!
Prepd Pack comes with modular containers that can be interchanged to create any meal. To go a step further, the team has designed an app that gives you recipes that will fit the Prepd Pack perfectly. This makes shopping for and preparing your lunches for the week super easy.
Since they launched their project on Indiegogo InDemand, the team has raised approximately $569K more. You can pre-order one Meal Prep Pro Pack (with one Prepd Case, one set of Magnetic Cutlery, two sets of Prepd containers, and one set of free chopsticks) on Indiegogo InDemand now for $70.
2. World’s Best TRAVEL JACKET with 15 Features-BauBax

BAUBAX LLC raised over $9 million in September 2015 for their travel jacket with 15 features. Their jacket, which has become immensely popular, includes: earphone holders, a drink pocket, sunglass pocket, hand warming pockets, a neck pillow, eye mask, and more! This campaign was number four in our 10 Most Funded Kickstarter Campaigns in 2016 post.
Since they relaunched on Indiegogo InDemand, the team has raised another $2 million in preorders. You can pre-order a BauBax Sweatshirt for $149, a WindBreaker Jacket for $159, Bomber Jacket for $179 or Blazer for $199 today.
3. Luuup Litter Box – The Best Cat Litter Box Ever

Luuup Inc. raised over $1.1 million CAD on Kickstarter in March 2016 for their Luuup Litter Box, a litter box that uses three sifting trays to make your life a lot simpler! Cleaning your litter box only takes seconds with Luuup, because all you need to do is sift, toss out the old litter and return the tray to the bottom of the stack.
Since this team launched on Indiegogo InDemand, they have raised another million dollars in pre-orders. You can pre-order one Luuup Litter Box now for $38.
4. Noria: Cool, redefined.

Noria Home on Kickstarter in June 2016 for Noria, a new air conditioner designed with the homeowner in mind. Noria is a window air conditioner that is compact and easy for one person to install. It can be controlled by smartphone and users can set schedules to save power when they are not home.
Swanson and his team have now taken the Noria air conditioner to Indiegogo InDemand, where they have raised another $165,000 so far. You can pre-order your Noria air conditioner now for $299.
5. The SUP revolution: Self-inflating SipaBoards Air

The SUP revolution made its debut on Kickstarter, in May 2016 for their stand up paddleboard, SipaBoards Air. This new SUP is great for anyone who loves to be on the water. It is compact and easy to take along with you, self-inflates so you don’t have to use a hand pump, and even comes with an app! The app includes a pressure gauge, activity tracker, anti-theft alarm, and board finder to help you get the most out of your SipaBoards Air.
Since they re-launched on Indiegogo InDemand, Brojan and his team have raised another $41K for their self-inflating SUP. You can pre-order a SipaBoards Air NEO for $640 and a high quality, collapsible paddle for $150 on Indiegogo.
6. Orbit: Precise Auto-follow & Social Sharing Drone

Skye Intelligence Technology for the Skye Orbit drone in May 2016. This popular drone has auto-follow technology and instantaneous social sharing so you can record and share all of your adventures with friends, family, and other networks.
Recently they started offering pre-orders on Indiegogo InDemand, raising another $4K so far. You can get your own Skye Orbit Professional Edition now for $649.
7. emberlight: turn any bulb into a smart light.
Creators: Atif Noori

Atif Noori raised Over on Kickstarter in September 2014. Emberlight lets you turn any bulb into a smart light so you can control one or many lights with a single touch. You can pre-set moods so you’re ready for any occasion, effectively making your home your sanctuary.
Choosing to launch on Indiegogo InDemand this year, the emberlight team has raised another $40K in pre-orders. You can currently get a set of three emberlight sockets for $139.
8. Jellyfish Aquarium
Creators: Alex Andon

In December 2015, Jellyfish Art for the Jellyfish Aquarium, a very cool looking LED tank that holds live jellyfish. The creator behind this project has been building his business through crowdfunding since 2011, and the team is excited to get this new generation to backers. Jellyfish Aquarium makes it easy to have jellyfish in your home, and the kit comes with everything you need to keep your jellyfish happy and healthy.
Since they launched on Indiegogo InDemand, the team has raised another $268K for their Jellyfish Aquarium. If you live in the US, you can pre-order a tank with jellies for $273 or a tank without jellies for $164. Jellyfish Art can’t ship jellyfish outside the US, but they do list sources to get them in other countries.
Conclusion
Indiegogo InDemand is a great way for backers who might have missed out on a campaign or wanted to wait until a later stage can still back projects they love. It’s also a great way for creators to start to transition into ecommerce, since many of these creators are offering pre-orders from their own websites too.
