I’ve done A LOT of interviews on the Crowdfunding Demystified podcast.
I never thought I’d say this, but I’ve actually come to love speaking. It’s a real thrill!
It’s also amazing to see all of the positive iTunes reviews that members of the community leave. I’m SO grateful to everyone who has left one. It means a lot. We’re at 114 reviews!
I wanted to take a sec to highlight some of the TOP podcast episodes this year.
You can listen to the podcast on this blog, on iTunes, or on Stitcher.
1. This ONE Simple Technique Raised $242,014 on Kickstarter
In episode 89 of the podcast, Joseph May came on the show to discuss how he made a simple change to his Kickstarter campaign, which made all of the difference.
If you’re running a struggling crowdfunding campaign, this is a must-listen.
“He shared exactly what he did to turn everything around, along with the techniques he used to get 1,500 email subscribers, 6,000 Instagram followers, and connect with influencers.”
2. The Foolproof Method to Raise Seven-figures On Kickstarter
Episode #86 is Bryce’s second appearance on the podcast. His first show was on Episode #58. If you’re not familiar, he launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Ravean brand, which did $1.3 million in sales.
He shares how he was able to raise so much money with a few proven strategies. This information is really golden.
Along with discussing marketing and pre-launch strategy, he also explains how to avoid getting screwed by an overseas manufacturer.
You also get a peek at his Seven Figure Funding course, which has gotten rave reviews.
3. The Formula to Raise $400k on Kickstarter With NO Social Network
I think that the reason SO MANY people connected with episode 99 of the podcast is because BJ Minson is just like you and me. He’s an ordinary guy trying to make a great product.
What’s more, BJ didn’t have a very large social network when he launched his crowdfunding campaign. Still, he was able to surpass his funding goal.
“He breaks down exactly what he did to get funding from regular Kickstarter backers and smash his goal. Not only that, but he shares how he did this ethically, with strong company values that promote American manufacturing.”
4. The System Used to Raise $1.3 million on Kickstarter With 3 Campaigns
Oh boy, this was a popular episode. In episode 75, I brought the ForeverSpin™ team on the podcast. They have launched several successful Kickstarter campaigns.
They discuss how they overcame challenges, where their backers came from, and why they launched one campaign on Indiegogo.
“When you listen to the podcast, you’re going to hear first hand how they created the product, how they did customer service, and just why they were so successful.”
5. How to Create and Crowdfund Your First Product
Finally, episode 77 really resonated with the CrowdCrux community. I talked with Josh Lifton, the founder and CEO of Crowd Supply.
He goes really in-depth into what you need to know if you want to make your first physical product. He shares how to go about the engineering process, how to make a prototype, what you need to do to get a manufacturer, and more.
As much as marketing is important, creating a GREAT product is vital. You can’t win the crowdfunding game unless you have a remarkable product.
“You don’t need to be an engineer to make a new product from scratch, but you do need to take several crucial steps if if you want to successfully crowdfund your business.
This episode demystifies the product development process and after listening, you’ll see how to actually raise money from the crowd!”
