What Mind Journal Did to Raise Over $50,000 on Kickstarter

Having hit his goal in the first three days, Ollie Aplin has had a wild ride on Kickstarter.

The launch of his new journal for men, Mind Journal, tested his abilities as a designer and serial entrepreneur. But, he prevailed!

In this interview, I got him to share a lot of behind the scenes material, including, how he was able to raise $10,000 on the first day of his campaign launch.

We go over a lot of fun topics including:

  • Why journaling is so important for positive mental health
  • The philosophy behind Mind Journal and why it’s a framework that will get you writing.
  • How journaling has impacted my life.

But, we go even deeper.

Ollie shares his advice for:

  • Reaching out to the media
  • Putting together a great campaign video
  • Why emotion matters more than logic when it comes to marketing a product on Kickstarter.

If there was ONE thing I took away from hearing the story behind Mind Journals, it’s that no matter where you are or what resources you have at your disposal, you can attract a crowd online.

If you work hard at making a great product and implement the right marketing, you can launch a successful crowdfunding campaign.

I hope you enjoy the interview!
